Welsh Lamb Exports Increasing

Exports of Welsh lamb increased 52% between 2003 and 2011. In 2003, exports of Welsh lamb meat totaled 22,770 metric tons. By 2011, those totals had increased to 34,500 metric tons. Now, researchers are focused on increasing the shelf life of Welsh lamb as it is shipped to far away countries, including China and the United States.  Read more about this topic at the Farmers Weekly website.
